Rooted in Christ, Alive in Creation

May is a month of renewal. The earth is alive again—trees stretch out in fresh green, flowers bloom in vibrant color, and the air carries the promise of growth. For those who walk as Knights of Nature, this season is more than just a change in weather—it is a living reminder of God’s power, creativity, and faithfulness. Scripture tells us in Romans 1:20 that God’s invisible qualities are clearly seen in what has been made. Creation itself testifies. Every forest path, every sunrise, every quiet moment beside flowing water speaks of the Creator. Called to Be Watchful and Present In a world full of noise and distraction, it’s easy to walk through nature without ever encountering God in it. As Knights, we are called to be intentional. When you step outside this month—whether into the wilderness or just your backyard—slow down. Listen to the wind. Observe the life around you. Let creation point your heart upward. God is not distant. He is revealing Himself constantly. Strength Through Stillness There is strength in stillness. Jesus Himself often withdrew to quiet places to pray. Nature offers that same sacred space today—a place to reconnect, refocus, and be renewed. As warriors of faith, we are not only called to action but also to abiding. Strength is not only built in battle, but in communion. Take time this month to pray outdoors, read Scripture in creation, and reflect on God’s work in your life. Stewardship: A Knight’s Responsibility Being a Knight of Nature also means stewardship. God entrusted humanity with care over His creation (Genesis 2:15). Respect the land. Protect what God has made. Teach others to see its value. A Call to Action This May, don’t just observe creation—engage with it spiritually. Go on a prayer walk. Invite others. Use the natural world as a place of worship, reflection, and renewal. Closing Prayer Lord, Thank You for the beauty and power of Your creation. Open our eyes to see You more clearly in the world around us. Teach us to be still, to listen, and to grow stronger in Your presence. Help us to be faithful stewards. May we walk boldly as Knights, rooted in Christ and alive in Your creation. Amen
