Awakening in the Spirit

April is a month of awakening. All around us, the earth begins to stir—trees bud, flowers push through the soil, and the once-frozen ground softens under the warmth of the sun. What was dormant comes alive again. What seemed still begins to move. What appeared lifeless reveals hidden strength. This is not just a change in season—it is a reflection of the work God does within us. “For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come…” (Song of Solomon 2:11–12) As men of faith and stewards of creation, April calls us to examine our own spiritual lives. Where have we grown cold? Where have we become still? Where has our faith been waiting beneath the surface? God does not leave His creation in winter forever—and He does not leave His people there either. A Season of Renewal In the mission of Knights of Nature, we recognize that the outdoors is more than a place of recreation—it is a sanctuary of renewal. The forest, the field, the water, the wind—these are reminders that God is always at work restoring, rebuilding, and renewing. April invites us to step outside—not just physically, but spiritually. Take a walk through the woods and listen. The quiet is not empty; it is filled with the presence of God. The budding trees preach a sermon of perseverance. The returning birds sing songs of faithfulness. Creation itself declares that new life is always possible. In the same way, no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve faced, renewal is available to you. Strength Through Surrender Knighthood is often associated with strength, courage, and endurance. But the strength God calls us to is not rooted in pride—it is rooted in surrender. Just as the earth yields to the seasons, we must yield to God. April is a time to lay down burdens, release control, and trust that God is working beneath the surface—even when we cannot see it. Growth often happens in hidden places. Roots deepen before branches rise. If you feel like you’re in a quiet season, do not mistake it for inactivity. God may be strengthening your foundation. Walking as Stewards As Knights of Nature, we are called not only to experience God’s creation but to care for it. April is a powerful reminder of the responsibility we carry. New life is fragile. Growth requires protection. Stewardship requires intentional action. Consider how you can honor God this month: - Spend intentional time outdoors in prayer - Clean and care for a natural space - Encourage others to see God through creation - Reflect on how your life can bear fruit for His kingdom The way we treat creation reflects the condition of our hearts. A Call to Rise This month is a call to rise—not in our own strength, but in the life God is breathing into us. Let April be the month you: - Reignite your prayer life - Reconnect with God through nature - Renew your commitment to live as a man of faith, integrity, and purpose You are not meant to remain in winter. You are called to grow, to stand, to lead, and to walk in the Spirit. Closing Encouragement Brothers, the same God who brings life to the earth is at work in you. Do not resist the season of renewal. Step into it. Embrace it. Let the winds of April remind you that the Spirit is moving. Let the rising life around you remind you that God is not finished. Stand strong. Walk faithfully. Grow deeply. Knights of Nature—Awaken and rise
